How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging since Nov. 2015. So crazy to think Write. Style.Travel is turning two this year!

What made you want to start blogging?

For years I read fashion blogs and watched YouTubers and admired them for creating content they were proud of. I was always the friend giving fashion or beauty advice so I figured why not take what I already know and love and go share it! 

What’s your favorite thing about being a blogger?

Honestly I have to say the people I’ve met has been my favorite thing about being a blogger. When I first started we didn’t have a blogging network and I’d get so bummed out seeing the fun events bloggers were going to just because they were in a bigger or “better” city. Now, it’s always amazing to see everyone getting cool opportunities and making friends in the process is always a plus! 

What is the meaning behind your blog name?

I still remember picking my blog name. It was almost 2 a.m. on a random weekday and I was trying to think of words that really represented me. Here’s the breakdown: Write- my love of being creative and  being a journalism major at the time, Style- fashion has always been a part of my life but I believe personal style is what really defines me, Travel- I spent years summering in Puerto Rico and while I don’t travel as much as I wish I did, I absolutely adore it!

What do you love most about living in Buffalo?

Our resurgence has been no joke! I feel like there’s always an new restaurant to go to! We have the best of it all. Lakes, ski resorts, amazing food, great local shopping. Plus now that we’re getting a Zara, I feel SO complete.

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

I feel like this always changes, but for summer it was definitely Hydraulic Hearth. Their pizzas are amazing and I love the way the revamped the patio this year! One of my favorites in Buffalo for sure.

What are your favorite seasonal activities?

At the risk of sounding basic, I CAN’T WAIT TO GO APPLE PICKING AND TAKE CUTE FALL PICTURES!!! (Yes, I’m that excited.) 

What is your favorite neighborhood in the city?

I’d definitely have to stay just downtown in general. I feel like most of my favorite restaurants are down there! Elmwood Village is a close second.

What are a few of your favorite Instagram accounts that you follow?

I really really love Julie Sariñana (@sincerelyjules) whose style is just impeccable. On the local level, I think Buffalo Dinner Club and Buffalo Brunch are awesome ways to discover new places to eat around town! Plus their food photos are always amazing.

What advice would you give to people who would like to start a blog?

The best piece of advice I can give is to just do it. I always wonder where I’d be now if I had started Write. Style. Travel. sooner. If your passionate about something or just want a creative outlet blogging is the perfect way to express yourself.
